In less than four months, credit card transactions across Europe will legally be required to be accompanied by a second level of authentication, such as the CVV, PIN, or biometric verification. This is expected to have huge implications for all businesses with electronic payments, but hoteliers and their booking partners face particular challenges. SCA requirements could significantly disrupt processes and potential revenue from no-shows, cancellations, advance purchased rates, and bookings from intermediaries for hotels across Europe.
In the session, HEDNA presents three veterans from different parts of the industry who, from the outset, have driven the discussion in identifying, analyzing and addressing the challenges of SCA. There is much to unravel but there is no better trio to discuss the implications of SCA than Pascal Burg, Paul Rodgers and Rajesh Vohra.
