What Does it Mean to be Merchant of Record?
The complexity of guest-centric payments leads to many strong responses from hoteliers. The most frequent response is “well we don’t want to be merchant of record.” As the industry moves to guest-centric payments (or COBO/above-property/centralized payments), this session will explore the history of merchant of record and what it means in a contactless journey.
